Part One
Sophia had two specific locations in mind for her August senior session: Lake City Marina in Minnesota and Villa Bellezza Winery in Pepin, Wisconsin. Not only was the scenery beautiful, but both locations held special meaning to her. The fact we stumbled upon some amazing sunflowers on our way to location #2?!! Well...that was just the icing on the cake! We met a Patton Park in Lake City before heading over to the Marina.

The Lake City Marina and it's nautical colors makes for a lovely backdrop.

The winery, which looked like it belonged in Italy-not Wisconsin, was stunning! By the time we arrived, it was dark. We were fortunate to get some really nice images, even after sunset.
Part 2
The next week, we met up in Rochester to snap a few pictures of Sophia with her dog, Russell. Once Russell was done modeling for us, we grabbed a few more of Sophia downtown.

Sophia's Interview Questions:
If you knew someone was nervous about their senior photos, what advice would you give them?
Kathleen is a goddess and she will make you look spectacular, so just be yourself and be open.
(I have never been referred to as a goddess before and I am happy to adapt that moniker! )
What was your favorite part of the photo-shoot?
Kathleen was so supportive and encouraging and made me feel so confident.
What surprised you about the experience?
I was surprised when I got to see the pictures because I felt so confident and they made me actually feel like a senior.
What were you favorite images from the session and why?
I loved the light and airy pictures and the pictures of me jumping because I feel like I looked most like myself.
When you dress up to go out, what are your "go to" fashion pieces in your closet?
It depends. A good pair of ripped mom jeans with a belt and a tank top crop top with my cheetah print sandals for when I go out with my friends. A short, tight, red wrap dress with cute tan strappy sandals for when I go out with my boyfriend. A cute striped sweater with leggings and a jean jacket with my cute white sneakers for when I go out with my family.
What is your favorite image from the shoot?
The close up one of me in the maroon off the shoulder shirt taken in the gazebo.
What do you love best about your location(s)?
It is so unique and had so much meaning to me because it was truly my happy place.
Anything else that you want to share in the blog that I didn't ask?
I just wanted to say thank you so much, you are such an incredible and talented photographer!
