Shelby Lietz, Century High School-Class of 2021
I had an absolute blast photographing Shelby for her senior session at the Villa Bellazza Winery. She had a very special prom dress that she wanted to photograph there. Villa Belazza was kind enough to oblige and let us use the space for some images. I was thrilled to see the white and dark gray clouds roll in because it gave so much drama to the images we were able to take. The result was some pretty epic images! Shelby asked me to hold on to these images until after prom season. She wanted to surprise her date with the stunning dress. Sadly, because of Covid19, there was no traditional prom offered at her high school. The good news, though is when I submitted some of these images, two of them were chosen to be feature in Senior Year Magazine!
Black and White...
I am a huge fan of black and white, and these images are compelling to me both because of her captivating expressions and posing but also because of the drama of clouds coupled with the architecture..
Just like being in Europe!
Villa Bellazza was such a great location and it felt like we were in a plaza adjacent to a beautiful vineyard in Italy. With every twirl there were smiles and laughter!
Lake City
After wrapping up our session at Villa Bellazza, we headed over to Lake City where Shelby's dad met us with their boat. We took some fantastic images with her posed by her Evinrude motor.
The Jewel Golf Club
After we left the lake area, we headed over to the Jewel Golf Club where one of the Pros had left a golf cart for us to use. We rode out to an area were we had a beautiful view of the golf course. I snapped a few action shots before we headed back to the club and finished with a few shots in her letter jacket.
