Celebrating Senior Year with a Symphony of Colors
As Chloe began her senior year, she wanted to commemorate the milestone with a senior photo session that truly reflected her passions and personality. With a love for music, reading, and color theory, Chloe's session was as vibrant and harmonious as she is! Look no further for some solid advice if you are looking to prepare for your own unforgettable senior session.

Harmonizing Interests: Music Reading and color theory
Chloe and her mom met with me for a pre-session consultation and we brainstormed about the hobbies and interests that Chloe is passionate about, and considered how these could creatively be included in her photos. Chloe's love for music is a central theme in her life, so it was only natural that it played a starring role in her photo session. She chose to incorporate her favorite instruments: guitar and violin.

One of Chloe's favorite images. Using the power of the sun, we even incorporated the shadows of musical notes from a roll of grosgrain ribbon to make a stunning black and white image.

Chloe, with a warm smile poses in a cute denim jumper just across from Victoria's Restaurant in downtown Rochester, Minnesota. She chose this favorite image as her yearbook photo.
Chloe, what advice do you have for upcoming seniors when it comes to their senior session?
Plan everything ahead. Don't wait to think about where you want to take pictures and what you want to wear last minute.
What surprised you about the experience?
I enjoyed it and it wasn't tiring or boring even though the photo shoot was a few hours long.
Is there anything you would do differently for senior photos if you had the chance?
I would have planned out exactly what I wanted to wear for two or three outfits instead of having a lot of different outfits.
And just for fun, Chloe, list three songs and their artist that you would want featured in a movie about your life. Or just three favorite songs in general. *

zalosnych" II. Lento e largo - Tranquillissimo by
Henryk Górecki; Mediterranean Sundance/Rio
Ancho by Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, Paco

Chloe's mom decided to dye the white dress to a more vibrant tangerine. I love how this really pops with Chloe's coloring! And this happens to be one of her favorite images from the session!

Another favorite image of Chloe's. Inspired by the dresses in La La Land, this royal blue layered tulle dress is showcased against a yellow archway and white door, styled with elegant sandals. We are grateful to the homeowners who gave us permission to photograph Chloe here.
