About me...

Hey there! I am so glad you stopped by! Based in Rochester, Minnesota, I am an experienced and nationally published high school senior photographer with a background in education. I spent 12 years in the classroom, and as a result, I know how to work collaboratively and efficiently with people of all ages. Photography is my passion and I work to give clients a personalized one of a kind experience. I am totally obsessed with light. Seriously, I can't watch a movie without looking for the light! I watch intently to see how the filmmaker chose to light each actor on the screen. (Check out "A Few Good Men" or "Meet Joe Black" for great examples of lighting). I love the way light dramatically informs and shapes what we see! From the age of eight, I have owned a camera. My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic. Eventually in high school, my father, a great photographer, gave me his treasured Nikkormat. Six cameras later I am still as enamored with the art of "painting with light" as the day I held my first camera. I can't wait to work with you to capture images that are both creative and timeless.
